Pictures surfaced on the internet in 2001: simple, chunky, adorable Transformers made especially for preschoolers. Many fans thought they were the cutest things ever, especially little Cheetor, who was a precious little "kiddie" version of the popular Beast Machines Transformers character. Plus, there was Gorillabot, who was obviously (or so many fans swore) meant to be a kiddified Optimus Primal. Many fans picked up one or two figures, if for no more than the sheer novelty of them, never guessing how the line would grow in the coming years.
