Vehicle Mode

Go-Bots Speed-Bot (2003 Video Repaint) is a repaint of Speedbot. In vehicle mode Speed-Bot is a sleek yet bulky, bright red sports car with a red spoiler, that reminds me of G1 Cliffjumper.

On the front of Speed-Bot is a black stripe with a yellow, red outlined Go-Bot symbol that makes him look sportier, a brownish grey engine with four silver lights, which add to the sporty look, two vents, two silver headlights, the Playskool logo, two silver fog lights, a silver grill and two small brownish grey wheels each with a silver tyre cap. Overall Speed-Bot has six light blue windows, one on the front, two on each side and one on the roof.

The sides slope upwards from the edge of the front section, combined with the large roof are what makes his vehicle mode look sleek. On each door is a black stripe. Just in front of the spoiler is a large vent. On the back of Speed-Bot’s vehicle mode are two yellow vent-like lights, a brownish grey bumper and two large brownish grey wheels each with a silver tyre cap.

Transformation

To robot mode:

1. Pull back rear section
2. Pull out doors
3. Twist rear section
4. Split rear section

Robot Mode

In robot mode Speed-Bot has a brownish grey square torso with the front of his vehicle mode in front of his torso.

He has a small, yellow, octagon shaped waist with bulky, yellow legs. You can’t really do much with his legs, unless you want him to do the splits. The rear section of Speed-Bot’s vehicle mode forms his bulky leg armour.

He has small, thin, yellow arms with large, bulky, yellow fists, with his vehicle mode doors forming arm shields and the front wheels on his shoulders. The arms aren’t really poseable so all you can do is swing them up and down.

Speed-Bot has a bulky brownish grey head with two silver eyes each with a yellow curve underneath them, a silver chin with a yellow mouth. The top of his head is silver with a yellow stripe.

Overall

Speed-Bot’s vehicle mode is sleek and sporty yet at the same time bulky and a homage to G1 Cliffjumper. Though his robot mode is too bulky for a fast-speeding bot and his small, thin arms look really odd amongst his bulky body. He also suffers from a lack of posebility. I give him 7/10.
